Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

IS YOUR POTTERY DISHWASHER SAFE?
Yes, my pottery is dishwasher safe. Generally speaking, it is better to handwash your pottery for longevity. With that said, mine go in the dishwasher regularly.

CAN I PUT IT IN THE MICROWAVE?
It is microwave safe. However, I have not put any of my pottery into the microwave for very long — usually just long enough to warm something up.

DO YOU TAKE CUSTOM ORDERS?
Generally, I do not. For a tiny-sized home studio with limited production capability, doing custom orders ends up creating more stress and problems than it’s worth…unless you want to pay me a million bucks! Then, sure. Reach out.

CAN I CANCEL, RETURN, GET A REFUND or EXCHANGE MY ITEM(S)?

ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
NO CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS, REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES.

Please consider your purchase carefully before making it. I make very limited amounts of pieces, each unique in the type of clay, glaze, technique, and style. Making exact copies is not possible. Please note that because I hand craft every item, some variations may occur between the photographs of the item and the one you receive — it’s very difficult to capture all the nuances in studio photography. Please note that these variations are not defects. By purchasing a piece of pottery from me, you understand you are purchasing handcrafted pottery and are agreeing to this policy.

MY PIECE ARRIVED BROKEN. WHAT DO I DO?
Pottery is fragile. Pieces are packaged and shipped to ensure they arrive safely, but once they are in the hands of USPS/UPS/FEDEX or any other delivery service, its safe arrival is out of my control. All packages are sent insured for the value of the item. It is up to you to then work with USPS/UPS/FEDEX or any other delivery service used to recoup the cost of your piece.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY HANDCRAFTED, SMALL BATCH & SLAB BUILT?Handcrafted means that my pottery is made by utilizing various hand-building techniques and not thrown on a pottery wheel.

Small batch means that I make very limited amounts of pieces in a particular way, or with a particular clay, or with a particular glaze. Every single “batch” comes out different.

Slab-building is my preferred hand-building technique where I roll out large flat pieces of clay and then shape them into various functional pieces. I will also combine slab-building with coiling and pinching or carving. As a result, the look and feel of my pieces are more raw and organic. They are perfectly imperfect. And each piece ends up having it’s own personality.
